An important part of economic relations in any country and with different modes of production are the rental relationships. The article examines the essence of the term of natural rent and basic conditions for its appearance. Substantiated the need of exception of rental income to the state and society, as well as a line is drawn between presence and absence of rent in case of an «extra-profit» in modern companies.
