Abstract:

When it comes to development tendencies of the information economy, two main groups of people with different opinions on this subject can be distinguished: 1) proponents of the traditional business and adherents of the internet business. However, a third group also exists – the so-called netocrates (internet magnates) who have amassed the greatest power in the IT-industry. Given the above said, it is not enough to understand the objective consistent patterns of modern internet-economy. Therefore, we should attack this problem with due criticism and find out how modern IT-technologies influence the internet-business and what role netocrates play in this business.
