Abstract:

The author describes the functional characteristics of the art-market consistently. The article presents the characteristics of the russian art-market as a phenomenon that has obtained a wide circulation since the 1990s. The functions of price formation, regulation and promotion in the art market, their indirect differences from their equivalents in other markets have been characterized. The article also presents the structured scheme and infrastructure of the described market.
