Abstract:

The authors discuss the role and features of innovation-filled foreign direct investment (FDI), which make possible an objective assessment of the need for the presence of foreign capital in the national economy. It has been stated that in the modern context FDI can work towards modernization of Russia, that is to upgrade technological base of all key sectors of economy. It highlights concerns and prospects to attract FDI in Russia for the purpose of the investment climate improvement and modernization processes enhancement.
