Abstract:

The article describes the evolution of approaches to the study and distribution of information considering thereof as an independent object of service rendering in the conditions of the modern market-based economy, discussing its place and role in modern society, as well as the existing issues in the field of information theory as the basis for the functioning of the knowledge economy. A model of the information structure, which allows to evaluate the process of creating high-quality information on the information services market from non-conventional point of view, is discussed.
