In the past few years, conscious consumption has been perceived by people as no longer a matter of preference or financial ability. A healthy diet is a healthy life, as well as a healthy nation. However, the question of the quality of food and nutrition remains open. Abroad, measures are being taken to promote healthy food, creating separate shelves with natural products. As a rule, such decisions bear fruit — the longevity of the population depends on the quality of food. The authors of the article note the need to take measures to develop organic agriculture in Russia, promote healthy food, create "separate shelves" with natural products, reduce the cheat on products, ranging from excise taxes to logical costs. Issues of production of environmentally friendly products come to the fore today. In this regard, modern technologies in agriculture are very much in demand today, allowing increasing the purity of products. Thus, from January 1, 2020, Federal law No. 280-FZ "On organic products and on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation" comes into force, which means a new page in the history of the industry. Organics will become legal, legally protected, it will have its own face in the form of a single state logo and a single state register of producers. We must start from the regional characteristics both in terms of income levels and dietary habits, and age composition of the target audience, because of the quality of food depends on maintaining the health and longevity of the population and the gene pool of future generations. And this is the beginning of a new path. There are many challenges ahead to be solved.
