Abstract:

Currently, the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation is actively involved in the digitalization of the Russian agro-industrial complex. The Russian agro-industrial complex as a whole is only in the first step towards digital transformation. However, we do not yet have a digital ecosystem that distinguishes digitalization from simple automation. But the digital development is going to happen with market consolidation. So far, companies do not have a rigid need for this, but now the agro-industrial complex is transforming, and companies are going to do it. The authors of the article consider that digital technologies are able to provide a sharp increase in the efficiency of agribusiness, but so far they are not implemented in the Russian agro-industrial complex as actively as in many other industries. The authors of the study note that in order for the Russian agricultural industry to become truly digital, it is very important to stimulate communication between agricultural enterprises and innovative technology centers, and such a system should be built at a level closer to companies. Reasonable application of information technologies can increase efficiency of the Russian agro-industrial complex almost twice.
