Considering digitalization as a potential factor of risks and threats to the economic security of the organization, the authors focused their attention on one of the key elements of digital business transformation – the transformation of management tools, i.e. the transition to electronic document management systems (EDMS). The purpose of the research is to study the process of implementation of electronic document management systems in the management system of the organization, to identify risks and threats to economic security associated with the management transformation. The article examines the stages of implementation of EDMS, offers an assessment of the risks arising from the implementation of each of the stages of implementation, analyzes existing EDMS products, and makes recommendations on minimizing the risks of economic security in order to effectively organize the transition to EDMS.
