The methods of forming economic institutions for regulating the inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) are studies in the article. Such institutions consist of investment promotion agencies (considering the pluralism of their position in hierarchy of state bodies and subordination) and investment codes. African nations use these codes to make relevant sources of law and instructions more available to multinational enterprises (MNE). Despite of some progress achieved by African states in improving their investment climate, there are still various unresolved difficulties in diversifying the inflow of FDI through their realization in nationally prioritized business activities, such as services. It is productive to apply the institutions of digital economy for progressive implementation of African investment codes. Utilization of RegTech and SupTech looks promising, therefore, analysts employed by MNEs will enhance cognitive abilities for better creative exploration of perspective investment opportunities and relevant incentives in Africa
