Abstract:

The quality of urban spaces is an important component in determining the standard of living and the attractiveness of the city\'s housing stock. In this regard, we set a goal to determine the quality index of the urban environment and the analysis of the attractiveness of the city\'s housing stock. The study of the development of public spaces in Kazan was conducted on the basis of in-depth interviews and the use of open data. The results of the study revealed that only with the active participation of the state and all residents of the city it can be possible to achieve large-scale results. The indicators affecting the quality of the urban environment are determined. It is established that public spaces play an important role in the life of the city and have a direct impact on the demand for housing. The availability of an accessible recreation area becomes a prerequisite for the development of both the secondary residential real estate market and new facilities. The presented results will be interesting for professional participants of the residential real estate market, state and municipal authorities and ordinary citizens.
