Multinational enterprises (MNEs) are important drivers of economic growth and development around the world, and to achieve full economic and financial stability, they must have a sustainable and profitable business. The main difficulties of MNEs are related to obtaining external financing for the development of their export market. This article considers the risk of financing the export activities of South African MNEs from the point of view of their interaction with credit institutions. A set of principles that allow to formulate ways to reduce the risk and improve the conditions of financing the export activity of South African MNEs is proposed. The set of principles is as follows: you can not risk more than your own capital can afford; you need to think about the consequences of risk; you can not risk much for the sake of small. Their difference from the previously proposed similar principles is in the strategy and tactics of minimizing risks, specific methods and techniques to achieve the goal in specific conditions of economic activity.
