In economically developed countries, the share of electronic commerce in the structure of trade turnover is quite large. In Russia, e-commerce accounts for no more than 7-10% of trade turnover. However, this form of trading is promising enough; and traditional retailers are gradually introducing elements of e-commerce into trading to build competitive advantage. The article substantiates the need to introduce innovative resources into the activities of traditional retail trade facilities, which are the elements of electronic commerce. The theoretical provisions presented in the article can be used by trade organizations, both traditional and electronic.
