Abstract:

The article substantiates the relevance of the study of the problems of ensuring the competitive sustainability of Russian regions, presents methodological approaches to assessing the competitive sustainability of regions. On the basis of cluster analysis and method of complex groups the typology of Russian regions by the level of competitiveness and competitive sustainability in 2003–2017 was carried out. As a result, groups of regions with high, medium and low level of competitiveness and competitive sustainability were selected. For each group of regions, the type of strategies that can be used in the development of strategic planning documents is proposed. The conceptual model of management of competitive sustainability of the region and the organizational and economic mechanism of its formation and development is presented.
