The opportunities to realize the personnel potential in the organization largely depend on the awareness of the choice of profession by young people. The study of the influence of motivation factors in choosing a profession will build an effective system of career guidance for the youngsters. The article shows the role of globalization and the main directions of its influence on the motives of choosing a profession. In accordance with the results of the analysis and generalization of domestic and foreign experience of research motives for choosing a profession by the youngsters from different countries, it is concluded that the importance of the factors of profession choice and the degree of their influence differ significantly among the youngsters from different countries. Classification of motivation factors of the profession choice is offered. On the basis of the study conducted by the authors, the key factors determining the choice of profession by the youngsters from Russia and China who receive education in higher educational institutions are identified. General features, particularities and differences of motivational priorities of the youngsters of these countries are formulated.
