Abstract:

The article notes the positive changes that have occurred in the system of venture investment and support for enterprises in the early stages of the life cycle in recent years in the UK. The existing shortcomings in some instruments of innovation policy are noted in comparison with innovatively efficient countries of the world. The scientific and technical leadership of the UK in financing projects is substantiated by examples of international cooperation in promising areas of science and technology. The effective implementation of integrated research in the British ecosystem is shown. Examples of a British innovative grant funding program are provided to support the most effective and commercially viable ideas in a number of technology areas
