Abstract:

The article deals with the historical aspects of the digitization of the economy. The interaction of traditional and information resources in the process of satisfying material and non-material needs is characterized. The edges of the non-material sphere of the economy are determined. Based on this, the essence and characteristics of the digital economy are clarified. Some trends in the development of Russia’s digital economy are considered.
