Abstract:

The experience of the resettlement policy of the Russian Empire is rich, diverse and effective. Various mechanisms and tools were used to achieve the goals of settlement of vast territories, including skillfully used economic tools. Investments of the state Treasury in resettlement processes were great, as evidenced by archival documents, including financial paintings of expenses. This aspect of resettlement policy has not been sufficiently studied and is not applied in modern conditions. The article, based on the archival documents of the Resettlement administration, discusses the effectiveness of the Russian investment policy in the field of migration policy.
