Abstract:

Changes in the economy associated with the development of the fourth industrial revolution and its numerous technologies, the digitalization of the economy, have a significant impact on trends in labour and employment. There are many new forms and types of employment, and there are changes in the structure of employment itself. New trends in employment are formed. This article analyzes foreign and domestic trends in this area. Based on the analysis, the dynamics of traditional and new forms of employment is displayed, the main similarities and differences between foreign and Russian trends are highlighted. The level of informal employment in the world and its relationship with the level of innovative development of the countries is studied. On the basis of the data obtained, it is assumed that most of the employed in the new types of employment are in the informal economy, which is certainly a negative trend that requires measures in the development and implementation of employment policies aimed at the formalization of new forms and types of employment in order to improve the working conditions of employees, as well.
