The article is devoted to the study of labor attitudes of Russian youth, its readiness for active labour behavior to improve competitiveness and professional self-realization, as well as to identify priorities of state assistance to the formation, development and use of labour potential of Russian youth. In the article the authors consider the results of evaluation of the young workers of the changes in professional activity caused by the digitalization; the willingness of young people to professional development, including learning a new profession; the potential of labour mobility of young people; the willingness of young people to new forms of employment (including the transition to self-employment/entrepreneurship), as well as the youngsters' assessment of the values and risks of self-employment/entrepreneurship. The authors identify the main directions of state assistance to the development and realization of the labour potential of Russian youth, focusing on the identification and support of talented youth. This article continues a series of scientific publications on the results of the all-Russian telephone survey of the working population "Social attitudes and dispositions of the population of the Russian Federation in relation to new forms of employment: subjective assessments", conducted in 2018 [1, 2].
