Abstract:

Modern big cities generate the phenomenon of circular labor migration. Commuters take twice as long to get to work as residents of the city in which they work. This fact changes their lifestyle, increasing the time spent outside the house. The article presents the results of a pilot comparative study of the commuters' lifestyle in the Moscow agglomeration and of the employed population of Moscow. Analysis of the results helped to identify some trends in the difference in health indicators and attitudes to the family between commuters and residents of the capital. The presented work has a number of limitations, but it shows the importance of research on the chosen topic. It is necessary to study this social group to improve the efficiency of cities and improve the quality of life of the employed.
