In the present work the results of experiments implementing a new approach to the formation of socio-cultural competencies of students and teachers in the process of their introduction to innovation and development culture are considered. The requirements to the content and stages of development of the organizational model of socio-cultural competencies are formulated and justified. Experience of development of the specified model is presented. Features of the organizational and cultural environment developing in the project team during the specified experiment are allocated. The interrelation of basic motives, socio-cultural competences and results of project activity of students is revealed.
