Abstract:

High rates of exploitation of the domestic resource base and the significant role of the oil and gas sector in the formation of the budget revenues necessitate a detailed analysis of the risks of changes in the situation of the largest energy markets. The demands of the global economy are being transformed due to the expansion of opportunities for the development of alternative deposits, the development of transport and energy infrastructure, the improvement of renewable energy technologies and the digitalization of energy. According to the authors' vision and medium-term forecasts of international agencies, oil and gas markets will remain politicized. The predominance of traditional power stations remains a basic aspect of the energy security of the major powers. Demand primarily depends on the strategic development of the largest consumers and the existence of rational alternative opportunities.
