In today's conditions of transition of the Russian economy to a new technological order the issues connected with introduction of innovations are especially important. It is necessary to develop methods for evaluating the effectiveness of innovative projects. One aspect is the forecasting of demand for innovative goods and services. There are different methods of solving this complex problem. At the initial stages of innovation, marketing research has not yet been conducted to confirm the demand for an innovative product or service. At this stage, demand can be predicted by analyzing consumer income growth or prices of goods and services. Using the correlation analysis, the article examines the relationship between macroeconomic factors and demand for innovative goods and services.
