The system of higher education in modern Russia needs transformation. This is primarily due to the growing need for a scientific and technological breakthrough in Russia. The country's foresight sessions in the field of education focus on the mechanisms and approaches to the transformation of the education system. The educational intensive, held from 10 to 22 July 2019 in Moscow at the SKOLKOVO Institute of Science and Technology, was aimed at the digital transformation of higher education. Its goal is to create and develop teams of regional universities that will be able to implement systemic changes in the field of training for technological development [1]. The author of the article is a participant of the educational intensive. The article itself is an attempt to determine the vectors of movement for the further development of the university.
