The article is devoted to the transformation of the Economics of culture in modern conditions and the mechanisms of its financing. The author proposes the definition of the Economics of culture from the standpoint of a systematic approach and modern trends in the development of this industry. The article deals with the statistics of financing the Economics of culture in the structure of federal budget expenditures, characterized by relative stability of indicators along with a small amount in absolute terms and in relation to the total volume of expenditures and in comparison with GDP. Within the framework of direct financing, the practice of implementing projects in the field of culture using the mechanism of public-private partnership as the most effective way of implementing municipal and regional projects is presented. Special attention is paid to crowdfunding as a mechanism for financing small projects in the field of culture.
