The article discusses the need to adapt the Russian economy to the requirements of the new technological order. The main challenges of the digital economy in Russia are highlighted. Among them are as follows: 1) inaccessibility of critical technologies; 2) underdevelopment of the digital economy; 3) imperfection of legislative regulation of the digital economy; 4) bureaucratic and administrative barriers to the inclusion of the private sector in the program of development of the digital economy; 5) the risk of revaluation of a number of critical digital technologies.
