Abstract:

The article presents an empirical analysis of the strategic socio-economic development of the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2017 from the standpoint of sustainability and balance. The author substantiates the lack of detail (inaccuracy of the concepts of "sustainability" and "balance" and uncertainty regarding the measurement of the degree of compliance with these criteria for the development of the region) of the Strategy of sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2018-2040 for its successful practical implementation in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. On the basis of available statistical information in the Kyrgyz Republic the scientific and methodological support for assessing the strategic socio-economic development of the regions from the standpoint of sustainability and balance is developed and applied. The author defines the current level of their development and prospects for its improvement in accordance with the priorities set out in the concept Of regional policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for the period 2018-2022, approved by the government of the Kyrgyz Republic on March 31, 2017 №194.
