An employee's career is a dialectical unity of opposite, mutually exclusive types of career - business and personal. How much a person becomes a subject of business career and personal depends on the achievement of economic and social goals of his life, the future, his place in the complex hierarchy of human relations. In this context, there is a growing need to understand the General nature and root causes of the temporary contribution of the employee to the harmonization of the dual nature of the career. The aim of the study is to identify the strategic imperative of harmonization of business career and personal, due to the differences in the size and structure of time for the positioning of employees in the labor and personal (private) life: (a) consider the architectonics of time for the career of the employee, thus allowing to understand its duality from the perspective of time spent on self-regulation, self-determination and self-development of business career and personal development; (b) substantiate possible strategies for career harmonization, taking into account the assessment of the time prospects of a particular method of positioning the employee in the labor market. The career of employees of 15 federal and regional banks operating in Novosibirsk for six years is analyzed. Knowledge of the size and structure of time for business and personal careers has revealed the presence of socio-economic conflict between them. Ways to resolve a career conflict form strategic alternatives to the interaction of business and personal careers, taking into account the individual choices of the employee (choice of profession, education, life partner, friends, number of children, etc.). The results prove that the size and structure of the time for the employee's career determine the mechanisms of localization and approval of the competitive advantage of the employee in achieving both material well-being and competitiveness in the labor market, and social welfare, spiritual well-being in personal life.
