Abstract:

In the article the author proposes a methodological approach to the study of the potential and relationships of the member states of the EAEU in the field of transport. The statistics of indicators of transport development of the EAEU member states are considered. The analysis and assessment of the transport potential of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are given. The development of cargo and passenger turnover in the context of the EAEU member states by modes of transport is analyzed, the existing trends are revealed. The role of transport (railway) corridors of the EAEU as elements of capacity development and interrelations of the member states is substantiated. It shows their importance in providing latitudinal transit traffic between East Asia and Western Europe, in the economic "approximation" of the inland regions of Russia, China, Kazakhstan and other countries to the leading centers and key markets of the world, sea and ocean ports. In conclusion, it is concluded that the need for further development of the transport potential of the Eurasian space.
