The article examines the need to study the problem of the low level of business ethics in developing countries, in particular in Russia. The relationship between the implementation of the strategy of sustainable development and the development of business ethics is described. A plan is proposed for organizing a large-scale study of this problem and factors affecting the formation of business ethics, requiring in-depth study and the formation of a Russian model for achieving sustainable development. The problem of interconnection of unethical behavior of Russian companies with the setting of corporate financial goals is posed. The article also analyzes the data confirming the lack of social responsibility of the domestic business environment.
