The article examines the complex of problems related to the employment of people with disabilities. For the realization of the right to work of persons with disabilities it requires active state policy to promote employment. The provisions of the new Russian social legislation concerning disabled persons correspond to the world standards, but in practice everything is different. A serious problem is also the dismissal of persons with disabilities. The article describes the results of a poll conducted by the Russian society of the disabled, formulated measures for solving employment problems and employment of persons with disabilities.
