Abstract:

The current state of the agro-food sector shows that every year the problem of food supply of the population with food becomes an important task. The solution depends not only on the production capacity and bioclimatic conditions of the agro-industrial complex, but also on the state of the food market. In the article the author considers in detail the competition both as an element of the market by means of which demand and supply are balanced, and as a type of the branch market where the degree of dependence of market conditions on behavior of separate participants is considered.
