Abstract:

In the article the study of the level of corruption in Russia and in foreign countries. In research used the Corruption Perception Index compiled by non-governmental international organization Transparency International, and date by the World Bank. Considered the views of various authors on the causes and sizes of corruption in various countries. Concluded that corruption there is in all countries of the world, in both developed and developing. The analysis revealed that corruption in Russia is at a high level. On the level of corruption Russia is ahead of most developing countries. High corruption hinders the economic development. Corruption is accompanied by a high degree of stratification by income level of people and large scale of the shadow economy.
