Abstract:

This article considers the link between wages and productivity; indicated other factors that affect productivity and possible trends in the effect of wages on productivity. The analysis of the correlation of wages and labour productivity in different groups of countries based on data of the International labour organization and the global innovation index 2018 is carried out. On the basis of the study confirmed a high level of correlation between wages and productivity. We also found that innovation in developed countries, the level of correlation is lower because they play a significant role, other factors increase labor productivity, including arising due to the intensive digitalization of the economies of these countries.
