Resources are a vital factor in the development of a country's potential. Today, in the context of a tense geopolitical situation, issues related to resources occupy an important place in the entire economy of a country and in all spheres of human activity. The country has faced great challenges, which are primarily associated with the emergence of the need for new products, goods, services, transformations in traditional industries. The purpose of this study is to study the resource approach, which serves to create a strategic model of the country's development. The main objective of the research is to study the methods of the resource approach, to determine the theory that could be used in the current economic situation, as well as to analyze its performance in an innovative environment. The article analyzes the main schools and approaches to the study of the resource approach and uses the work of scientists Such as E. Penrose, S. Helfat, D. Barney, J. Schumpeter et al. As a result of the study, the methods of the resource approach were studied, the theory that is applicable in modern conditions was revealed, and its performance in an innovative environment was analyzed.

Accelerating globalization does not guarantee that it will succeed in every country. For the harmonious development of the economy it is necessary to pay great attention to the resource component. Thanks to the rational allocation of resources, as well as an effective management system, we will be able to achieve good results both at the state level and on the world stage. The resource-based approach helps to coordinate the activities of all systems in the most accurate way, thus ensuring the success of the economy in the struggle for competitive advantage.
