The article discusses a number of issues arising from the transition to the use of professional standards. At the same time, the benefits of which arise both the employer and the employee in connection with the introduction of professional standards. Discussed in detail the concept of "skill level", which appears in connection with the use of professional standards and is designed to make the wage system more transparent and fair. Also the authors present a classification by levels of qualification in accordance with the tariff categories and the categorisation of managers, professionals and employees. In addition, the paper proposes a set of criteria for evaluating the qualifications of the enterprise personnel.
