The article presents the results of a study aimed at identifying the relationship of managers of small and medium-sized businesses to project management. In a large part of small and medium-sized businesses in the construction of project management system, it is customary to borrow foreign tools, often designed for the implementation of large-scale projects, which in turn can lead to negative results of project activities. The article deals with the attitude of companies to different standards of project management, identified the most popular project management system. The author, based on the study also indicates what trends in the development of project management will contribute to the development of this direction of management, and a positive impact on the entire system of viability of the enterprise.
