The theoretical concepts describing innovative development of the world economy underwent significant change. The value of digital technologies at the present stage of development of the world and national economies seriously increases. The reason of that is not only global crises and search of new sources of accumulation of competitiveness of economy of the states. In the article key prerequisites of the digital transformations happening in the modern world economy on the basic of new technologies are analysed. It was established, that is continued technological unevenness between national economies of the countries, that is caused both by the levels of development of these countries, and different perception and adaptation of digital technologies by them. In spite of the fact that crisis somewhat softened strengthening of a technological gap, development of digital economy in the countries needs further state regulation and institutionalization.
