The article is devoted to the problems of the formation and development of resource support for the development of infrastructure in the Russian Federation, which determined the purpose of the presented research. As methods of research used general methods of scientific knowledge. A comparative analysis of the resource potential of the domestic economy in comparison with other countries has been carried out, existing sources of infrastructure financing have been studied. This work focuses on the problems of limited resource potential of the domestic economy in the existing conditions in the financing of infrastructure projects. The complex of solutions consists in the creation of certain mechanisms of interaction between the state, subjects of the private and financial sectors, with special attention should be paid to financial and credit mechanisms based on the active participation of banking institutions, in particular infrastructure mortgages. It also seems expedient to develop a methodology for ranking infrastructure projects in terms of characteristics and parameters, their multiplicative effect on the economy, followed by financing “points of growth” by banking institutions on the basis of targeted priority refinancing of the latter by the Central Bank among selected projects.
