Abstract:

The article is devoted to the identification of social tension in Dagestan society. The protest moods of the residents of the republic were revealed in 2017. Comparison with the analogous author's research of 2007 was made. The reasons for the growing tension in society, the factors of protest activity of the population, as well as the patterns determining their intensity and character of manifestation were revealed. The results of assessing social tension in the Republic of Dagestan and the level of protest activity testify to the concerns and discontent of people in general with the social and economic situation in the region.
