Business activity is the most important acpect of the market economy, necessary for the socio-economic development of any country. The authors discusses the factors of entrepreneurial activity associated with the perception of entrepreneurship by individuals in society. The purpose of this study is to identify opinions and beliefs in the Russian society concerning the development of entrepreneurship at the stage of its inception. The study is based on data from the Global entrepreneurship monitor. Russia 2014 and Russia 2016/2017. The least squares method is used to find linear relations between variables. The results show that two of the four hypotheses presented have been proven. These data show that entrepreneurship in Russia is positively associated with the individual perception of entrepreneurship in society. These results may be useful for further research on entrepreneurial intentions.
