Abstract:

The article provides a brief theoretical justification for the need to study the localization of innovation activity in the regions due to the influence of concentration processes on the effectiveness of innovation interaction and commercialization of its results. The system of indicators for the assessment of localization of innovative activity, taking into account the resources and results of the innovation process. The advantage of the author's methodology is the comparability of the regions by indicators of innovation activities, with the exception for the influence of their size on the evaluation of innovative processes. Testing of the methodology is conducted on the example of regions of the Central Federal district. The author identifies the regions leaders in the degree of concentration of innovation activity, as well as the regions with rapidly improving positions in the ranking of localization of innovation. It is proposed to use the rating of localization of innovative activity, along with the existing ratings of innovative development.
