The article analyzes theoretical approaches to understanding values and value orientations of the individual in psychology. It describes and discusses the study of the value of the individual. The article shows the levels (ranks) of the significance of each value and percentage of test subjects which gave values to the corresponding rank. Values ranked first in terms of significance in the context of groups of men and women and values occupying the last places are determined. The article reflects the main results of a comparative analysis of significance of values in the male and female groups. The correlation analysis of interrelation of different values among themselves in a man's and a female group allows predict the value of other values based on knowledge of importance of particular value.

2. The research of priorities destroys the usual classical views on the preferences of men and women in their Sex-role self-expression.
