The development of modern technologies and social structure has changed the approach to professional choice, which is of great importance for the young people. Young men and women should not only choose their future profession, but also learn to make professional choices constantly during their lives, based on their own, including educational interests. The article deals with the theoretical background to the problems of youth in modern contexts, as well as presents the results and key findings of the study on the relationship between the high stability of the choice of subjects of education and a sense of self-control over their lives and the independence of their choice. The findings of the study are based on data obtained from a sample of more than six hundred subjects from 13 years to 21 years.
