Abstract:

The article analyzes the state of Russian stock and financial markets for the period 2013-2017, and gives an assessment of their prospects. Among the most significant influencing factors we may list a moratorium on the funded pension component, changes in the liquidity of markets, the state of the financial system of the Russian Federation, Russian demographic characteristics, the level of involvement of the population in the investment process through the stock exchange. The results obtained in the work shows the structural liquidity crisis on the Russian stock market. In this connection, the author analyzes the tools of the Russian stock market, which could help Russian investors to overcome the liquidity crisis.
