Corporate social responsibility of companies becomes a new factor in the implementation of the concept of sustainable development at the level of regions and individual cities and affects even public decision-making in many countries of the world. That is why this issue is relevant for the Russian economy. The article considers the factors affecting the development of the concept of corporate social responsibility among Russian business community. We analyze social assistance measures most often provided by Russian companies in the territories of their presence. We give the examples of socially responsible business in the Lipetsk region, aimed at improving the living conditions of the population in the city of Lipetsk and municipal districts. We reveal the reasons for the lack of a full-fledged system of corporate social responsibility in Russia. We suggest measures aimed at formation of mutually beneficial social responsibility of business and stakeholders promoting the development of the regional economy.
