Abstract:

In the article using the example of the Far Eastern Federal District, we examine how the "Housing" federal program was implemented in one of the regions of the Russian Federation. We found out that by 2017 they have partially solved the tasks set in the program: the number of annually commissioned housing units has increased, the average index of housing per one resident for the region has also improved, and young families have received partial support in house purchasing. We also revealed that the indicators of housing availability and the possibility of acquiring it through mortgages vary widely in the territorial plan: in areas with the highest concentration of population housing is inaccessible; mortgage lending is limited and applies to secondary housing.
