Abstract:

The main problem of modern medicine are cardiovascular diseases, which are among the leading causes of death and disability. A therapist faces a significant percentage of cardiovascular complications in his practice. We determine the relationship between cardiovascular events and atherosclerotic process. The article considers the main factors of development of atherosclerosis. We present modern approaches to correction of risk factors of cardiovascular diseases and reveal psychological risk factors of atherosclerosis and psychological methods of their treatment.

 In Russia, cardiovascular disease accounts for 53-55% of all deaths
