The article is devoted to the actual topic – the development of the food industry and food security in South Kazakhstan region. The article deals with the issues of food industry, food safety, certification, manufacturing and sugar industry. Today, one of the key conditions for participation in international trade in food products is the ability of the exporting country from a particular manufacturer to ensure the safety of products. The main factor determining the competitiveness of products is its quality of food products, which is characterized by safety indicators. The article presents an original selection of tables for the South Kazakhstan region and the food, sugar, manufacturing industries of the country. Food industry is one of the main branches of manufacturing industry of South Kazakhstan region. The sources cited in the scientific article reflect the modern point of view on the studied problem of the food industry.
