In order to increase the yield of the existing agricultural sectors, we need to improve the irrigated land. There should be done a lot of work in this area, for example, we need to expand irrigated land and improve the provision of lands with water resources. In order to expand irrigated land and improve the provision of land with water resources, we need appropriate reservoirs and irrigation channels. In this sense, we must especially note the role of Samur - Absheron canal. The article shows the problems related to the use of irrigated lands and the ways to solve these issues. We identify the main directions for improving the efficiency of the water management complex of the Republic by improving the organizational and economic mechanism for managing irrigated agriculture and optimizing various factors of intensification. The article analyzes the current state of the use of the productive resources of irrigated agriculture.
